Special education software for Arizona schools.
Based in Arizona.
MediaNet Solutions was founded by Jeff Kline more than 25 years ago to help Arizona schools and districts manage the federal and state compliance work that surrounds special education programs — Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), English learner classifications, and multi-tiered systems of student support. The product became the de facto solution in the state, with a customer retention rate north of 98%.
The business is the kind of compounding, mission-critical SaaS that rarely appears on public radar. Districts adopt it because the rules are too complex to manage in spreadsheets, the deadlines too consequential to miss, and the software too entwined with daily workflows to switch out lightly. Once a district is on MediaNet, it tends to stay.
Tiny acquired MediaNet in 2024 and the company continues to operate from Arizona, serving the same district customers it has supported for more than two decades.
MediaNet is exactly the kind of business Tiny is structured to own — profitable, founder-built, deeply embedded in a specific customer workflow, and growing steadily without needing a venture growth curve. The 98% retention rate is the metric that matters; everything else follows from it.
Tiny's role is to provide the long-term ownership structure that lets the team keep doing what they've been doing for 25 years, with the operational and capital support of a public-company parent.
